1. Painting Portraits from Life

2. Painting any Subject
Any medium.Commencing Wednesday 15th May 2013, 1pm-4pm
Cost: $200
(Students are responsible for bringing their own medium and source material (Pictures, photos, still life etc.)
Oils, pastels, watercolours, acrylics, charcoal - I can help you both technically and aesthetically to lift your work to another level.

1. Pastels
On Saturday 4th May 2013, 9:30am-5pmCost:$130 per day PAY ON THE DAY (cash or cheque
PLEASE BRING A LUNCH TO SHARE
- A crash course in pastels. All the materials and techniques.
- Do small paintings as to learn these techniques.
(Students are responsible for bringing their own set of at least 45 soft chalk Pastels ( eg. Rembrandts or Art Spectrum), 2 sheets of mid-tone dull pastel paper ( one Colorfix, one Canson) and Thin Willow Charcoal, hog hair brush, ~A3 board and clips.)
2. Oils
On Saturday 11th May 2013, 9:30am-5pmCost:$130 per day PAY ON THE DAY (cash or cheque)
PLEASE BRING A LUNCH TO SHARE
- A thorough introduction to oil painting techniques and materials
- Applying these techniques painting a Portrait from life.
(Students are responsible for bring at least 5 good quality flat or filbert hog hair brushes (ranging ~ 5-15 mm wide) a small (~ size 1) nylon brush. Low odour Turps and Lidded jar and rag. 2 small canvasses or canvas boards (~ 30x40 cm). Minimum Colours: Cad.red or equiv. /Cad. Yellow or equiv./Thalo Blue/ Ultramrine Blue/ Permanent Rose or equiv./Tit. White/Black/Raw Umber/Yellow Ochre/ Mars Violet or Indian Red. (Optional: Thalo Green/Purple).)
